The "Matrimonial" fireworks
In what seemed like a "sacred" matrimony between two brothers, that had alot of hope in each other ended being noisy and messy. President uhuru Kenyatta coincidentally met with William ruto in 2010 after William Ruto fallen out with then Premier Raila Odinga having the same challenges.
They joined hands in Nakuru at the historical Afraha stadium in what turned to be a Jubilee coalition between URP and TNA . Their campaigns were not easy since they were battling PEV cases at the ICC in the Hague.
They mushroomed the challenges and made over to create the government in 2013.
After the 2017 election it turned out that the lamp could no longer hold paraffin bt instead it could only operate on diesel which is quite catastrophic. The toxicity of the two saw the Jubilee party split in two functions the Kieleweke which supported the BBI and Tangatanga which supported Ruto and was pro_bbi.
The fallout according to some leaders was interpreted in different languages. Rigathi Gachagua in the past have revealed that the frosty relationship between the two leaders began immediately after the 2017 elections.
The MP says the president ‘used' Ruto to retain the presidency for a second term and thereafter turned on him.
“He [Uhuru] waited until Ruto helped him ascend to the presidency. Once in power, he fought him very hard,” the MP said during an interview on Citizen TV.
“He really abused us and told us off. In fact, he started to abuse us before the first election was cancelled. He called us on August 30, 2017, and gave us a serious tongue-lashing and told Ruto off two days after the election was cancelled,” he said.
On the final fallout between Uhuru and his deputy was witnessed in Jubilees National delegate's conference after he formally endorsed ODM Leader Raila as his successor before thousands of the Orange Party delegates at Kasarani.
Uhuru said he decided to work with the former Premier due to his deputy's actions.
“If we were elected together, but you’ve decided to join the opposition from within the government…that’s why I decided to work with Raila Odinga,” he said.
On his turn Deputy President William Ruto responded to his boss on Sunday Speaking a day after Uhuru endorsed ODM Raila Odinga as his preferred successor, the leaders termed the move an insult to millions of Jubilee supporters who stood by him and voted him in 2013 and 2017 elections.
William Ruto fired salvos from Uhuru’s Kiambu backyard, saying the President and his ‘puppet’ should prepare for a humiliating defeat in the election.
“When the President wanted a man to stand with him when he was facing ICC charges at the Hague, did Raila stand with him? Who stood with Uhuru?” Ruto said.
“We are surprised that the President is now telling us that amongst those who stood with him none can succeed him and he has now resorted to supporting mtu wa kitendawili.

"Mr President, you have frustrated us, called us thieves and chased us from parliamentary committees. I want to say we have forgiven you because we are God-fearing people. We have suffered in those four years but I want to assure you that your puppet, Raila Odinga will fail," Ruto said.
To seal the deal today Ruto was conferred with blessings from his new home UDA to run for the presidency on a the party's ticket ,the challenge which he took without hesitation.
It is his quest for the Presidency that left many admiring his courage.
“Our competitors are the agents of monopolies. They are the masters of conflict of interest. They are the agents of state capture and we must free this country,” the DP said.
“They believe that this nation should be about a few people who wield the levers of state power. This country is not just about leaders. This country is about 50 million Kenyans."
